who we are

Tatâga Inc. is an Indigenous management consulting firm operating at the intersection of strategy, governance, climate, and commerce. Founded in 2019, the firm exists to support organizations navigating complex social, economic, and environmental systems with rigor, accountability, and care. The firm’s work is grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing and executed through disciplined management consulting practice.

Tatâga Inc. was established with a clear premise: enduring economic performance and social legitimacy are inseparable. Organizations operating in today’s environment face heightened expectations related to Indigenous rights, sustainability, governance, and long-term value creation. Tatâga Inc. supports clients in meeting these expectations through structured analysis, evidence-based strategy, and relationally grounded engagement.

The firm was founded by Principal & Founder, Ali Tapaquon, whose background spans corporate supply chain management, systems change initiatives, and Indigenous economic development. Since its inception, Tatâga Inc. has grown into a trusted strategic partner to First Nations, governments, non-profits, corporations, and sector-wide institutions. The firm supports decision-makers who require clarity, credibility, and implementation-ready outcomes in complex social, economic, and environmental contexts.

Management Consulting Practice

Tatâga Inc. delivers advisory services across strategy, assessments, governance, reconciliation, ESG, and organizational transformation. The firm’s consultants specialize in translating complex issues into clear diagnostic insights, prioritized actions, and practical roadmaps that organizations can execute.

Tatâga Inc.’s approach integrates established management consulting frameworks with Indigenous knowledge systems, ensuring that recommendations are both technically sound and socially grounded. This includes systems thinking, risk analysis, quantitative and qualitative research, and structured consultative methodologies designed to withstand scrutiny at executive and board levels.

Tatâga Inc. works across sectors, supporting initiatives related to climate, infrastructure, clean energy, procurement, community engagement, economic development, and systems change. In every engagement, the firm’s focus is on creating durable outcomes and shared value, keeping forefront in their work, the communities they are committed to serving.

Relational Accountability

Tatâga Inc. operates with a commitment to relational accountability and does not treat engagement as extraction. The firm’s work is designed to respect Indigenous rights, sovereignty, community context, and lived experiences while maintaining professional standards expected in high-stakes decision environments.

Tatâga Inc. walks alongside its partners, not ahead of them, offering challenge, guidance, and collaboration in service of long-term impact. This balance of rigor and relationship is central to how Tatâga Inc. practices management consulting.

Language, Knowledge, and Culture

A distinguishing attribute of Tatâga Inc. is its commitment to language reclamation and applied Indigenous epistemologies and pedagogies. As capacity allows, members of the Herd dedicate time to learning their ancestral Indigenous languages. This practice reflects the firm’s belief that Indigenous knowledge systems are embedded in language, culture, and Ceremony, and that these ways of knowing must be actively practiced to be meaningfully applied.

This commitment informs how Tatâga Inc. designs research, facilitates dialogue, and frames strategy. It is not symbolic. It is methodological.

Looking Forward

As Tatâga Inc. continues to grow, the firm remains focused on supporting organizations that are serious about change. Its work is oriented toward implementation, governance alignment, and measurable progress, while remaining grounded in respect, reciprocity, and responsibility.

Tatâga Inc. exists to help organizations do difficult work well, in ways that strengthen both institutions and communities.
