Founded by Ali Tapaquon, with the guidance and support of a small circle of founding consultants, Tatâga Inc. has grown into a valued strategic partner for First Nations, governments, non-profits, corporations, and organized systems of thought. Ali’s background, including experience in corporate supply chain management and socially focused projects, inspired him to launch Tatâga Inc. with the destination of sovereignty in mind.

One of the distinguishing attributes of Tatâga Inc. is its commitment to language reclamation: all Herd members, as capacity allows, dedicate time to learning their ancestral Indigenous languages. This practice stems from the belief, emphasized by one of Tatâga Inc.’s founding consultants, that Indigenous epistemologies and pedagogies are rooted in languages, cultures, and Ceremonies, and these ways of knowing need to be practiced in order to be meaningfully applied.
