Reconciliation Assessment Report Program

The Community Energy Association is a Canadian nonprofit that accelerates climate and energy action with local governments and Indigenous communities through planning, research, engagement, and program implementation. Tatâga Inc. delivered a rigorous, time-bound Reconciliation Assessment Report (RAR) to establish a clear baseline of where the organization sits today, and to map actionable opportunities across CEA’s operating model, governance, and ecosystem partnerships. Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund is the administrator for Alberta teachers’ pension plans, overseeing more than $20 billion in assets and supported by a professional staff of 50+ investment and operations specialists. Tatâga Inc. delivered a keynote-style education engagement to strengthen reconciliation knowledge in an investment context, supporting leaders to better integrate Indigenous relations considerations into portfolio thinking and public-facing messaging. lululemon is committed to standing for humanity, diversity, and empathy, without exception. As part of this commitment, the company has undertaken an Indigenous Exploration Phase, to better understand and improve its relationship with Indigenous Peoples and knowledges across Turtle Island. lululemon partnered with Tatâga Inc, an Indigenous Management Consultancy that specializes in helping companies navigate the complex and nuanced landscape of reconciliation.

Tatâga Inc. provided guidance and management consulting on a wide range of Indigenous-related topics. They use storytelling and contemporary consultative approaches to help companies understand the past, present, and future of their relationships with Indigenous peoples and the lands on which they operate.

The Indigenous Exploration Phase was a comprehensive process that helped Lululemon gain a deeper understanding of the past, present, and potential futures of its relationships with Indigenous peoples and the lands on which it operates. Tatâga Inc provided valuable guidance and expertise throughout the process, and helped the company to identify key themes and areas for improvement. Using storytelling and contemporary consultative approaches, Tatâga helped lululemon understand the importance of reconciliation and how it can be achieved. They also created recommendations for lululemon on how to move forward in its reconciliatory journey.

The partnership between lululemon and Tatâga Inc is a significant step in the fashion retail industry's journey towards reconciliation with Indigenous peoples and knowledge. Tatâga Inc's guidance, expertise and contemporary approach helped lululemon to take a holistic and inclusive approach to reconciliation, and it serves as an example for other companies to follow. The Pembina Institute is a Canadian think tank focused on clean energy and climate solutions, with a national research footprint supported by 90+ staff and policy experts and a multi-million-dollar annual research and impact portfolio. Tatâga Inc. supported Pembina’s research work on gender equity and energy transitions, providing structured guidance, feedback, and resources across the outline-to-publication workflow. The engagement strengthened clarity, completeness, and credibility by applying impact-informed research discipline, strengthening evidence-to-implication linkages, and improving narrative coherence. The outcome was a stronger, policy-ready product that policymakers and practitioners can use to integrate equity considerations into energy transition policies and programs.

Energy Futures Lab is a multi-stakeholder innovation platform shaping solutions for Canada’s energy future. Tatâga Inc. delivered an Indigenous Equity Audit, the precursor to Tatâga Inc.’s Reconciliation Assessment Report (RAR) program, using mixed-methods research to generate evidence-based findings and recommendations. The work integrated qualitative insight with disciplined synthesis to produce a practical audit report and actionable recommendations, strengthening the Lab’s readiness to collaborate credibly and consistently with Indigenous Peoples while maintaining its innovation mandate.

First nation engagement | research

Tatâga Inc. partnered with the RKeepers 7 Strategy, funded by the Building Safer Communities Fund and Public Safety Canada, and administered through Tosguna (Tsuut’ina Nation Police Services). The primary focus was to engage community members on intervention, prevention, and education, addressing challenges within and shared by community.

Tatâga Inc. collaborated closely with project manager Alyjah Ermine and the Tsuut’ina community. They designed and facilitated community engagement sessions, ensuring inclusive participation. Throughout Phase 2 of the six-month project, Tatâga codified and analyzed the data and stories shared by community members. The team produced a final engagement report, a literature review, a community program eco-map, and other supporting assets.

The project was overseen by a steering committee composed of Tsuut’ina members and professionals, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with community needs and values. The outcomes of the RKeepers 7 Project have supported investments into community-rooted programming opportunities, addressing challenges within the community, and promoting health and wellness, particularly focusing on youth.

This collaborative effort between Tatâga Inc, Tosguna, and the Tsuut’ina community has laid a foundation for sustainable community development and resilience. The resources and insights generated from this project continue to inform and enhance community programs, fostering a healthier and more supportive environment for all members.

Tatâga Inc. supported Glenbow’s internal Indigenous reconciliation planning by contributing strategic architecture and research support aligned to recognized reconciliation frameworks, including First Nations Sacred Ceremonial Objects Repatriation Act, and the organization’s governance realities across a staff complement of 20+ employees. Tatâga Inc. supported Tourism HR Canada and partners through structured preparation, facilitation, and follow-up for multi-stakeholder conversations focused on Indigenous tourism and Indigenous entrepreneurship. Tatâga Inc., alongside local Treaty 7 Community members, supported BLLT’s strategic direction by anchoring work in listening, local Treaty 7 context, and stakeholder alignment. The engagement connected strategy to execution through structured programming support and relationship-based groundwork, helping strengthen organizational readiness to collaborate with local Indigenous community members in a way that is credible, informed, and durable.

Tatâga Inc. partnered with NorQuest in a strategic capacity, supporting organizational learning within their own client practice. Norquest College serves 14,439 full-time and part-time credit students and 8,580 non-credit or continuing education learners (2022–23), including 1,000+ credit students who self-identified as Indigenous.
