Nurturing social Entrepreneurship

About the Program

Tatâga is creating a Nurturing Social Entrepreneurship Program for new startups and social focused organizations. The program is designed to provide resources and support for starting and growing businesses that align with traditional principles of living. This includes mentorship, training, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, as well as the development of the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the business world and to create a positive social impact — the most important component.

Our leadership team and Indigenous subject matter experts ensure that the work aligns with traditional principles of living. Our leadership team is composed of Alec Carton, Lorraine Fiddler, and Aubrey-Anne Laliberte-Pewapisconias, all experts in commerce and business.

The program is unique in that it is relation-centric. OurHerd, is made up of Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, Indigenous academically accredited experts, and community members with lived experiences. Each person we work with is enriched by the collective offerings and perspectives of the diverse Herd members, ensuring that the approach is inclusive and community-driven.
